Belle is one of our resident smoosh faces that was rescued from Kern County Animal Services with her mother, Liberty, on the 4th of July.  She came into our care with problems with both of her eyes that were causing her some pain.  Luckily for her the Mutt Militia is just what she needed to help her out with her problem.  Turns out she had inverted eye lashes that were causing her pain and irritation.  She has successfully undergone surgery to correct her eye lids and turn her eye lashes out so no more pain and irritation.  Now this girl is seeing life from a very different view point and loving every minute of it!  Belle is an absolute love muffin and loves cuddling on the couch with people.  She is a people dog and absolutely adores kids!  In fact so much, that we think she prefers kids to adults in most cases.  Belle also loves most other dogs as well and is learning crate training with her foster brothers and sisters.  Its not her favorite thing in the world but eating dinner in it makes her day.  This girl didn't understand what toys were when she first came to our foster care program but she is now learning how to have some fun with toys!  We also found out that Belle is a water dog!  She absolutely loves playing in water and swimming no matter what size of pool she can find, she will have the best time ever!   Belle is looking for a family with kids and a pool (even kiddie sized) to make her life complete, if that's you please apply to adopt her today!
