Evie

Sex:  Female
Breed:  Husky Shepard Mix
Age:  7 months
Welcome sweet loving Evie to the Mutt family!  Evie and hiersiblings were dumped at a local shelter without their mom and were in desperate need of foster care.  Luckily we have some awesome fosters out there who came to the rescue to take her and her siblings in and let them thrive! Evie is a big fuzzy white puppy. She likes cuddling and wandering around the garden and wrestling with other puppies. She's more tolerant of cold weather than her siblings. She's very food-motivated and picks up tricks quickly. She is crate-trained and potty-trained as long as we take her outside after meals and naps. If she is in her crate she lets us know, loudly, when she needs to potty. In the evening at bedtime, she needs to go potty twice, 10 mins apart. This is very consistent!  She enjoys playing 'fetch' and will sit on request. She has only been leash-training for one day, but she seems to like it. If we take another puppy out of the pen to cuddle or train she will let us know that she wants to cuddle, too, right away. Excellent communication skills. She is still teething and needs to play with chew toys frequently.  If you would love to give Evie her forever home, apply to adopt her today!

Max

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Chihuahua Mix
Age:  9 Years
Welcome Max to the Pawsitive Change Prison Program!  Max was an owner surrender at the South Los Angeles shelter as a senior dog.  Pretty upsetting for an older guy to be dumped without knowing what was going on after a life of being someone's friend.  Since he is a senior Chihuahua not trusting a soul after that, we knew he would be perfect for our prison program as it was probably the only change he had at survival.  Max has thrived while inside the program for the better and has started trusting humans again.  We think Max would do best in a nice quiet calm home to spend his remaining days out.  Max is a very obedient little guy who would love nothing more than finding someone who he can snuggle up with and be a lab hound.  If you would like to give this wonderful senior guy his forever home, please apply to adopt him today!

Guppy

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Pit Mix
Age: 3 Years
Welcome back Guppy to the mutt militia!  Guppy was adopted out this past summer to a nice family but he became afraid of the man of the house and wanted to hide.  We took him back in to look for a new home that better suits his needs.   Guppy was found and rescued by a fellow rescue organization in Downtown LA. He was extremely emaciated and need ACL surgery to help his hind legs. After a couple of surgeries and lot’s of TLC, he is all healed up from it.   Guppy is an absolute love of a dog, he loves to play but is absolutely content with just napping and taking it easy. He plays well with dogs of all sizes and will follow them in order to get acclimated to the house rules. He does amazingly well in a crate and will wait to be invited out. He is a gentle bear that needs guidance in order to thrive. He's great with kids, but will can knock over toddlers when he gets excited.  So a home with smaller kids would be better suited for him.  Even though Guppy does amazingly well with humans and doggies of all shapes and sizes, he does not do well with cats and other small creatures. He is wary of them and becomes very tense. Guppy walks great on a leash but does get excited when seeing other dogs. With the right human and the right guidance, he quickly learns to follow and calm down in order to meet other dogs.  If you would like to give this big love bug his forever home, please apply to adopt him today!
