Ryder

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Cattle Dog
Age:  10 Months
Welcome back Ryder to the Marleys Mutts foster family!  We took in Ryder when he was just two months old abandoned out in the streets.  Ryder was adopted out last summer but sadly his family broke up and they were unable to keep him, so he's back with us looking for the perfect home!  Ryder is a sweet soul and is a really smart boy.  He's still very much a puppy and loves to play.  When we originally took him in we found that he is deaf with some limited hearing.  Ryder need some work with the leash and meeting new dogs.  We're looking for a home that is comfortable with his breed, and his hearing loss since he has different non verbal training needs.  If you would like to give this good boy his furever home, apply to adopt him today!

Jim

Sex:  Male
Breed: Lab
Age:  10+ Years
Many would judge Jim to be damaged goods, or un-adoptable. Why? Because his face is a little dented and he breaths funny? The minute Inyo shelter staff sent me the video of Jim, I knew he belonged as a Mutt! Despite being a pure bred Chocolate Lab, he’s a mutt at heart! He’s got little quirks and peccadillos; funny habits and noises. He loves ball more than anything on this planet, and despite having a degenerative condition, is well capable of wonderful times ahead!  Please apply to adopt this special handsome boy today!

Lola

Sex:  Female
Breed:  Pitbull Mix
Age: 2 Years
Lola was found my one of our wonderful employees and is really working hard to better herself. She’s been doing wonderfully with other dogs, including some all-out play group sessions and is getting more and more comfortable by the day. If fosters like Amy didn’t step up to bring dogs like Lola into their homes, we simply wouldn’t have been able to hell her! This dog has all kind of potential and is even great with small kids!  If you think she is the girl for you apply below to adopt her today!

Lenny

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Chihuahua Mix
Age: 8 Years
You're looking at 14 pounds of solid loving at the young age of 8 years
old. Lenny is what you would call, a limited edition, one of a kind! He can be
classified as a universal lover mutt!   Lenny came to us listed as a male, but after noticing a vital part of his anatomy missing along with a really bad bladder infection......we found out that Lenny's appendage was removed!   For 8 months we could not find out why until one day his rescuer reached out to us and told us that she found poor Lenny on the street one day and had a really bad bladder infection with bladder stones.  It was so bad that he could no longer urinate and needed a really expensive rare surgery to save his life.  So she searched high and low to find a shelter or rescue who could help him and she did!  The Upland Shelter took Lenny in and performed the surgery to save him.
Sadly, once we took Lenny in and found out what he was missing....it turned out that the surgery wasn't working out quite well for him, and he needed an additional surgery to correct what was removed.  Lenny since his last surgery has been doing great and has had minimal issues with his urinary tract.  Lenny will need to be on and off medication and prescription food for the rest of his life but none of that affects what kinda dog Lenny is.  Lenny is a sweet and kind dog.  He loves to cuddle and snuggle under the covers.  He's good with other dogs and could be very happy as an only dog too.  Lenny is just a really unique boy who happens to look like a girl on the outside now.  He is the best of both worlds who is looking for a furever home that celebrates his uniqueness.  Apply for this wonderful pup today!

Sookie

Sex:  Female
Breed:  Border Collie Mix
Age:  11 Weeks
Sookie is AWESOME! She's been through so much in her short, little life, she deserves the best-of-the-best the rest of her life. She was rescued from the Shafter Shelter in early January. She was skinny, itchy from puppy mange but spunky and so happy to be loved. While recovering from puppy mange (not contagious to people) and gaining weight, she came down with parvo. After surviving the parvo virus, she is back to her fun-loving, toy-searching, ball-squeaking adorable self.  She plays well with her foster's adult dogs and her litter mate. It will take a while for her immune system to fully recover and her fur to grow back but once she does she will be a beautiful dog.  If you would like to adopt this sweet puppy, apply today below!

Snacks

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Border Collie Mix
Age:  11 Weeks
This puppy was rescued from the Shafter Shelter and needed serious groceries - which is why his name is Snacks. He was skinny, had an intense case of puppy mange (not contagious to people) and was so happy to be with people. He has been treated for the mange and his fur is growing back nicely. He contracted parvo but after a few weeks, he is healthy, happy and super playful. He plays well with his foster's adult dogs and his litter mate. He loves squeaky toys, playing "tug", belly rubs and snuggles.  If you would love to bring this sweet pup home, apply to adopt him today!

Benny

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Long haired chihuahua
Age:  5 Years
Little Benny is a 5 year old long coated chihuahua and a tiny 4.5lbs. He’s just about as sweet as they come. His momma was elderly and could no longer care for herself which meant she could no longer care for Benny.

Benny is a happy little guy who loves everyone. He’s great with dogs, cats and kids although because of his small size we’d recommend a home with children who can carefully handle him. In his previous home he was house trained to puppy pads. His foster is working on getting him accustomed to using the restroom outside.

Think Little Benny would be the perfect fit for your family? Apply to adopt him today.

Monet

Sex:  Female
Breed:  German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog
Age:  7 Years
Monet comes from the Inyo County Shelter where she was surrendered with a large mass under her chin, down to her neck. The mass was surgically removed and was benign! She's recovered tremendously and is extremely healthy (albeit, she needs to lose a few pounds).
Monet is chill...and lovable...and huggable. She loves to couch, eat, go for car rides. When she looks at you, it's 100% with love in her eyes. She's totally house-trained, knows sit and stay and lay down. Especially for treats. She gets along with other dogs (if they have a calm energy. If they're hyper, she does get a little nervous but once she gets used to them, she should be fine.)  She's the sweetest, most chill dog ever and whoever adopts this girl, will win the jackpot!  Please apply to adopt this sweet gal today!

Scooter

Sex:  Male
Breed:  Chihuahua Mix
Age:  2 Years
Welcome Scooter to the Marleys family!  Scooter was on his last hour at the shelter when we came and found this pup wrapped all in bandages unable to walk.  Scooter it seems was shot a couple of times in the spine and rendered him paralyzed.  He also had numerous sores from dragging himself that need to be healed up.  Scooter got lucky that we had a donated wheelchair that fit him perfectly!  Once he was strapped in and ready to go he took off and was the happiest pup ever because he had mobility again!  He has taken to walking in his wheelchair like a duck to water and its like hes always been in it.  Scooter is a very happy go lucky dog!  He likes other dogs and gets along with everyone hes met.  He is a really wonderful pup!  Were looking for someone who doesn't mind that this guy is special needs and requires a little bit of extra help each day.  Someone who will take him on car rides and explore the world with him.  He is one eager pup who just wants to go and see everything he can.  If you would like to meet Scooter and possibly adopt him, fill out an application for him today!
