Lola

Sex: Female
Breed: Jack Russell/Italian greyhound x
Age: 8-9 months old

Lola has the best eyeliner don’t you think? She  found herself at the city shelter. Not a fun place for a puppy to be but we had room and could help.

Lola is a super happy and fun little girl. She’s all legs and wants to play with everyone all the time. Her long legs make us think she has some Italian greyhound in her heritage. Lola loves children and pretty much every person she meets. She’s good with other dogs and just wants to play play play.

Lola will be evaluating for our Pawsitive Change program in mid November. If accepted she’ll go into the program December 2nd and will stay in for 2 months. While we will accept applications for her we won’t review them until closer to her graduation date.

Stevie Marbles

This beautiful girl is Stevie Marbles. She found herself at Kern County Animal Services  after she’d been picked up as a stray. What makes this even sadder is Stevie is blind. We can’t imagine being lost and not able to see where you are.

Stevie is about 8 years old the one of the sweetest kitties we’ve ever met! She’s so friendly and social and loves both kids and adults alike. She even likes dogs.  Although blind she navigates without issue and you’d almost not notice she has visual impairments.
If you’re looking for a super affectionate kitty consider bringing Stevie home to your family.

Shirley

Sex: Female
Breed: Westie/Corgi x
Age: 3 years old
Short stack Shirley and her friend Laverne found themselves at the city shelter as part of a cruelty case. They came in dirty, scared and with fly stike injuries on their ears. We don’t know the details regarding why these girls were seized but knew they needed help so they joined the Marleys Mutts ranks.
Shirley is the more confident of the two. She provides her sister Laverne with comfort and confidence. At this point we feel the girls are bonded and we would really love to keep them together especially because it helps Laverne not be so insecure. As they acclimate to foster life Laverne may relax enough to not rely on Shirley so much.
We feel both girls would do well with older respectful children who would give them space and time to acclimate to a new home. Younger children would overwhelm them. They are both crate trained and working on their house training skills. If you’re looking for a bonded pair consider adding these girls to your family.
