Harper

Sex: Female
Breed: Boxer/Pittie x
Age: 6 years old
This happy face is Harper!
6 year old Harper came to us when her dad experienced some medical issues and was no longer able to care for her. Harper is great with people but we’d recommend she live in a home with no other dogs or cats.
Harper walks great on leash and thrives with a strong pack leader. She’s a very sensitive girl and really wants to please her humans. She’s crate trained and working on her house training skills. If you have a pool shes a total water dog and would love nothing more than a romp in the water although she won’t swim just wants to hang out.
If this girl sounds like the perfect fit for your family apply to bring her home.

Fancy

Sex: Female
Breed: Pomeranian
Age: 5 years old
Meet Fancy (that’s her name since birth).  She’s an approximately 12lb 5 year old pommie who lost her home because her mom was traveling for months at a time for work. Fancy has joined our foster crew and we’ll get to know her over the next several weeks.
She is good with older respectful children but does not like young children as they scare her. She’s good with dogs who don’t pick on her and once she gets to know you a sweetheart.
She was house trained in her previous home but we are fine tuning those skills in foster care as the change of environment caused her to regress a bit (which is totally normal). She’s good in a crate and so far quiet and sweet. It takes Fancy a minute to warm up to new people and adjust to new environments but if given the time to acclimate shes her normal self within a day or two. We feel Fancies ideal home would be calm and quiet and will have people that give her the time to adjust to new situations.

Shirley

Sex: Female
Breed: Westie/Corgi x
Age: 3 years old
Short stack Shirley and her friend Laverne found themselves at the city shelter as part of a cruelty case. They came in dirty, scared and with fly stike injuries on their ears. We don’t know the details regarding why these girls were seized but knew they needed help so they joined the Marleys Mutts ranks.
Shirley is the more confident of the two. She provides her sister Laverne with comfort and confidence. At this point we feel the girls are bonded and we would really love to keep them together especially because it helps Laverne not be so insecure. As they acclimate to foster life Laverne may relax enough to not rely on Shirley so much.
We feel both girls would do well with older respectful children who would give them space and time to acclimate to a new home. Younger children would overwhelm them. They are both crate trained and working on their house training skills. If you’re looking for a bonded pair consider adding these girls to your family.

Everett

Sex: Male
Breed: Terrier/Lab x
Age: 2 years old
Everett found himself at Kern County Animal Services after he’d been picked up as a stray. We loved his scruffy face and happy personality and knew his playfulness would help one of our shy foster dogs come out of her shell. Boy were we right! Everett instantly hit it off with Hazel (another foster pup who is very shy and shut down) and the two have become best friends.
Everett definitely has the lab personality. He loves everyone and everything and just wants to be his goofy playful self! He’d do great in a home with children and another playful dog to pal around with. We’d also love it if Everett and Hazel could find a home together as they get along so well.
Everett is house trained to the doggy door in his foster home and nondestructive. He’s a fun happy boy that would make almost any family happy.
