Adoption Process
Many of our adoptable dogs are currently in foster care. Others reside at the Marley’s Mutts Rescue Ranch. We post their full bios on our site and social media so you can check them out. Once you fall in love with one of our adoptable, adorable Marley’s Mutts, click the “adoption application” link to see how you can provide a forever home.
Adopt
Here’s what you need to know about adopting a dog from Marley's Mutts:
-
Adoptable dogs will have their own profile on this website
-
Adoptable dogs will be introduced on Facebook/Instagram
-
All pets will be spayed or neutered
-
All dogs will be microchipped and shots will be up-to-date
-
Each dog has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)
It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the right home. Our foster parents and ranch staff work with each dog to get to know them and their individual needs.
We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each dog on the site so you can choose who will be the best fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific dog on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed.
If selected to meet one of our dogs and you live out of town, we will ask you to do a virtual ‘Meet & Greet’ via video chat that we arrange. We will establish prior to any adoption if your particular choice does well with other animals. If they do well and it is time for an in-person meeting, we will ask that you bring that animal(s) with you to this meeting.
Do not be discouraged if your application is not selected. Trust us that we will find the best fit for you.
If you do adopt a dog from Marley’s Mutts, don’t hesitate to reach out to us for training or behavior questions. We will do our best to recommend qualified trainers in your area.
