We’ve got some really BIG labs and when we’re talking big we’re talking giant!!! Meet Bruce and Dori. At well over 100lbs each these guys are the gentlest giants ever! They are literally the best!!! I mean who doesn’t love a lab. They’re notoriously super social and happy go lucky dogs. They’re a favorite among families for their kind and gentle nature and we promise Bruce and Dori won’t disappoint. They are the sweetest! They are also very bonded and we’d love nothing more than to find that perfect home who will adopt them both. Just think you’ll instantly have perfect family dogs who are the very best of friends. That sounds like a win-win arrangement to us!
For some reason these two BFF’s were surrendered to our city shelter. They got sick right away (upper respiratory infection) making rescue their only option. They’re such great dogs we’re not sure why their former family couldn’t keep them but we got them out and to the safety of our ranch and can promise we will work really hard to make sure their next family is the forever kind. They had a rough time recovering but now that they’re well it’s time to start looking for that super amazing family.
And if you love the beautiful variety of colors labs come in this adoption will give you a couple of those color choices. Bruce is a beautiful chocolate boy and Dori is sporting the darker ebony locks. As they’re about the same age and very similarly sized we suspect they are brother and sister. They’ve been together happily their whole lives and that’s even more of a reason to keep these sweethearts together forever. If you’ve been looking for double the fun and none of the trouble these two just might be the right fit for you. Apply today!
Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley's Mutts:
Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
All pets will be spayed or neutered
All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)
It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.
We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.
It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.
If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.
Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.
If you’re lucky and you do adopt a super amazing pet from Marley’s Mutts, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us for training, medication, or behavior questions. We’re here for you, and your pet.
