Jessie is a one year old male Terrier cross breed. He had found himself on the streets hit by a car. He was able to pull himself under a bush and that’s where a Good Samaritan found him and reached out for help.
Poor Jessie had a significantly shattered pelvis. We were shocked he could even move as far as he’d moved. He stayed the night at VCA-Bakersfield and transferred over to BRVSS (Bakersfield Regional Veterinary Surgery Specialty) for surgery.
Jessie is currently recovering in foster care. We expect, due to the severity of his injury, that his recovery will take 3-4 months. We won’t have a good idea of his personality or tolerance to other animals until he’s feeling better and closer to recovering from his injuries.
