  • 342 dogs were taken into our care
  • 279 dogs were adopted out
  • 2 dogs were returned to their owners
  • 62 dogs were transferred to other shelters
  • Lifesaving Rate* – 96.7%

2016 Spay and Neuter Division Statistics

1,425 surgeries were performed for low-income under-served dog owners in Kern County, California. Each surgery also included a rabies vaccine, microchip, pain medication and E-collar.
