Breed: Shepherd x
Age: 10 months old
We named her Sunny for a reason—she is filled with brightness and personality!
Sunny was picked up as a stray by Kern County Animal Services with a seriously imbedded collar. Her wounds are some of the worst we’ve seen, going completely around her neck but the shelter patched her up and reached out for help. We were thankfully able to help.
Sunny is staying with one of our amazing fosters while she heals. While in foster care we’ll learn her personality and figure out the best home environment for her. So far she shows no ill demeanor whatsoever and has absolutely fallen in love with the young child in her foster home. She follows her everywhere and has determined the child is her spirit animal. Sunny minds very well and is easy to work with on boundaries. She’s doing great with the other dogs in the home, hasn’t met the cat yet, and shows healthy curiosity of the horses.
She has been a joy to foster this far, a true delight!
We expect Sunnys wounds will take 4-6 weeks to heal. She won’t be adoption ready until that time. So watch our social media pages for updates as she progresses.
